CELI Preparation for teenagers
Official Italian language exam by the University of Perugia

Who is the course aimed at?

  • Young people aged between 13 and 17 who wish to take the official Italian language exam to obtain the Certification of Knowledge of the Italian Language (CELI) for professional and study purposes.
  • Those who wish to successfully obtain the CELI certificate recognised by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Course objectives

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Learning and practicing the techniques that will enable one to tackle the various sections: written comprehension, use of Italian, written expression, oral comprehension and oral expression.
  • Improving speaking and writing skills in Italian in different contexts.
  • Reach the level required to successfully pass the CELI exam.

What does this course include?

  • Live online lessons, one-to-one or in groups, with the number of hours per week, frequency and duration varying according to each student’s needs and objectives.
  • Personalized and digitized teaching material, varied, complete and adapted to the student’s level.
  • Homework correction.

Course levels

  • CELI IMPACT ( A1 level)- elementary level
  • CELI 1 (A2 level) – pre-intermediate level
  • CELI 2 (level B1) – intermediate level
  • CELI 3 (level B2)- upper-intermediate level for entry to an Italian university
  • CELI 4 (level C1)- advanced level
  • CELI 5 (level C2)- native level

The Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) recognises CELI 3 as a valid language certificate for access to university in Italy, while CELI 4 and CELI 5 confirm a knowledge of Italian equal to that of Italian students.

It should be noted that each faculty may require specific admission tests. The CELI exam takes place three times a year (spring, summer and autumn) in Italy, at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, in many authorized centers and also abroad, at Italian Cultural Institutes.
